Soil Testing

Optimal soil make-up is integral to the health of plants and trees. So, our first step is to have your soil assessed at an accredited lab to get an accurate picture of the soil's ability to sustain plant life. With this data we can develop a customized program for your landscape, and also monitor its progress, responding to changes as necessary.

Soil Saturation and Deep Root Fertilization

In an urban environment, trees do not have access to the abundance of nutrients found in the decomposing plant matter of a forest floor, so fertilizing the trees and shrubs on your residential property is essential. Arborganix (applied in spring and fall) will restore the needed nutrients in the soil to rejuvenate your trees and shrubs, as well as maintain their long-term health.

Foliar Applications

During the summer months Arborganix is applied to leaves and needles to re-introduce beneficial microbes to the tree by forming a physical barrier on the leaves.

Monitoring trees and surrounding plant life is critical to detect problems before they become unmanageable. An arborist can detect problem areas or potential issues - which are often hidden, as with some infestations or, possibly, a dangerously weak branch - and make recommendations on treatments. In the early stages of a problem, the solution will likely be a less severe measure, like simply reducing soil compaction, for example. Routine monitoring and early response will often avoid serious tree health or property damage issues.

You'll have an opportunity to discuss the findings and treatment options with our arborist, as well as receive a written Monitoring Report after each visit.
